Associate Artist

Arturo Paz is an audio engineer, sound designer, and electronic music producer/composer. He is also known as the music artist Zaptra, with releases available on all streaming platforms. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Paz began his musical journey at the age of 12. Over the years, he developed a deep passion for recording sound and music. He has since collaborated with various music artists worldwide and has worked on several short film projects as a music composer, sound designer, and audio editor. Notably, he contributed to the short films “El Niño Encantado,” “Jean de Oro,” and “SoCal Storage - Rainbow Mural” with director Britt Brown. In 2017, Paz relocated to Chicago with the intention of exploring and expanding his community within the music and film industries. He has since worked on projects as Zaptra with local collectives such as Playground Social and Press Play Creatives. He has provided music composition and sound editing/mixing for the upcoming short film “Fiona’s Day is Off.”
