Kylie Ramirez

Writer/Director

Kylie Ramirez (she/her) is a writer and director from Chicago. Her work explores gender, identity, and satire through a woman-centric lens, often blending surrealism and dramedy. Her short film first date? won Best Screenplay at Big Shoulders International Film Festival and was featured in Chicago International’s CineYouth and other festivals. Her latest film FILMBROS was nominated for Media for Social Change at DePaul’s Premiere Film Festival. Kylie is a former Fordham theatre directing finalist and a Dean’s Scholar at DePaul’s School of Cinematic Arts, where she also served as President of DePaul Film Fatales. Her creative work spans narrative, documentary, studio art, and live performance, with collaborations including Second Site, Old Town School of Folk Music, and independent music videos and short films.
