Seeking M4M

by Nathaniel Andrew

What inspired you to write this play?

I was grappling with the grief that gets collected along the way with existence, and when I learned of Frank Hayden’s story, I felt pulled to reveal my struggle while honoring his presence in DuSable. It was also important for me to humanize Black, queer love in an institution that celebrates Black history.
